It's detail week here, as we transform the house once again for a birthday. Impossible to believe that the first Craunlet turns seven this weekend. Sweet Isabella Marie is turning SEVEN.
She is every bit a growing up little lady. It takes my breath away at times. These glimpses vaguely familiar of who she was, and so full of the hope and promise of who she is becoming. This wildly confident and bright little lady; one that is both studied and playful.
This year's party theme is mostly a re-do of last year's sweet six that was cancelled due to illness. The most terrible birthday weekend, remember here and here. It's mostly pink and yellow paper spheres, with a handful of large tissue accordion globes, and Mexican tissue paper fiesta banners. We decided to add butterflies to the mix this year [we can never seem to do anything exactly the same twice] as Isabella has been reading and researching them most of the year. Remember her Halloween costume?
Though the decor is mainly recycled from last year, we decided fully new invitations were in order. Something a little more SEVEN, and who this little lady is right now. I love the playful serious mix, and the monochrome yellow. And *swoon * I simply could not resist the acetate boxes that I found at a local paper store to use as clear mailers.
It's all the little details–they do me in every single time–the white round wafer seals, and the strips of yellow gridded washi paper tape, the feathery butterfly breaking free from the seven and needing a box for it's contained flight.
And yes, we even mailed each of them out adorned with a small flock of butterfly postage stamps. WHY, CERTAINLY.
